About Unraveling The riddle Within
This is the approved "The Fanlistings Network" fanlisting for Dr. Cal Lightman from the Fox TV series Lie To Me. Cal Lightman is portrayed by the amazingly talented and charming Tim Roth. Dr. Lightman is the world's leading deception expert, a scientist who studies facial expressions and involuntary body language to discover not only if you are lying but why. His job requires him to analyze facial expressions, body language, voice and speech. By observing what people do instead of what they say he can read they're emotions. Though Lightman's ability has proven to be a blessing and a curse in his personal life, after all everyone lies. Lightman heads a team of experts at The Lightman Group who assist federal law enforcement, government agencies and local police with their most difficult cases. He's insane, abrasive, determined, persistence, sarcastic, reckless, and obsessive.Unraveling The Riddle Within was opened on April 7th 2009. When I got approved to make this fanlisting I was stoked. I started watching Lie To Me from the Pilot episode, because I love Tim Roth and it seemed like a unique idea. I've literally been hooked since then; Lie To Me is my new favorite show and I can't wait for more. In my opinion Cal Lightman is a misunderstood man who covers himself with lies, while obsessed with discovering the truth. He surrounds himself in a cold persona, but he dose have a caring side, which he shows very few people.
The name "Unraveling The Riddle Within" took me a while to come up with. At first I was going to name it "Truth of Happiness", but I thought it didn't describe the complexity of the character. Then I tried "A Riddle Entangled In Truth and Lies", but something about it seemed off. Here are other names I went through:
After all that I created "Unraveling The Riddle Within". I picked this one because I think it describes Lightman without being to forward.
